The short answer
For a Singapore cafe, start with one honey application: yogurt, toast or citrus tea. Compare flavour, serving quantity and dispensing before committing to a larger menu. HoneyBear's Japanese range includes jars, tubes and 5g sticks; Singapore delivery, order quantities, documentation and import arrangements must be confirmed for each enquiry.
1. Yogurt, mango and honey: keep the finish visible
Use plain yogurt as the base, a few pieces of mango for acidity and texture, and a measured spoonful of honey added at service. Keep the honey visible instead of mixing it throughout the bowl. This gives guests a clear idea of the ingredients and makes the dish straightforward to photograph.
For a trial, keep the yogurt and fruit portions constant while comparing small honey additions. Record sweetness, aroma, time at the pass and plate waste. These are menu-development suggestions, not evidence that this combination will sell better in Singapore.
2. Toast and citrus tea: two different service needs
For toast, add honey after toasting and portion it consistently so it does not pool on the plate. Taste it with the actual bread and other toppings: a delicate honey can be lost against a strongly flavoured spread.
For iced citrus tea, test dissolving the honey in a small amount of warm tea before adding ice. Keep the recipe and holding procedure under your cafe's food-safety controls. A successful test should check both flavour and how the drink behaves during the time it normally sits before service.
| Application | Trial question | What to record |
|---|---|---|
| Yogurt | At the pass or served separately? | Portion, clean plating and guest preference |
| Toast | Can staff apply a consistent finish? | Spread, drips and preparation time |
| Citrus tea | Does the recipe mix consistently? | Dissolving method, sweetness and holding time |
Plan a small trial before choosing a format
HoneyBear's range includes jarred honey, tube honey and individually packed 5g honey sticks. A jar allows spoon service; a tube can be evaluated for controlled dispensing; a stick provides a defined pack quantity. Test the real format with your team rather than assuming that one container is always faster.
Illustrative calculation: 40 orders per day x 5g x 26 operating days = 5.2kg per month, before waste or reserve stock. This is a planning example, not a recommended serving size or HoneyBear order minimum. Replace all three inputs with your own numbers, then check packaging, remaining shelf life and replenishment timing.
Confirm the Singapore import route before ordering
SFA requires the appropriate licence or registration for commercial food imports, with the category determined by the product. Import permits are applied for through TradeNet. Commercial food samples sent by parcel are not automatically outside these rules.
For imported prepacked food, review the applicable English labelling requirements, including the local responsible business and country of origin. Ask a Singapore importer to check the exact product and current rules before shipment. A Japanese domestic label or an online checkout is not proof of Singapore compliance.
- Who will act as the local importer?
- Which product classification and supporting documents apply?
- Who will review and prepare any necessary local label?
- What must be confirmed before a sample or commercial shipment?
What to include in your HoneyBear enquiry
Send your cafe name, Singapore delivery location, planned dish, preferred format, trial quantity and expected monthly usage. Include your importer contact if you already have one, plus any documents they need to review.
HoneyBear sells and wholesales honey in Japan. This page invites a discussion of a possible Singapore project; it does not confirm overseas stock, an export programme, certification, delivery lead time or a minimum order. Availability, documents, costs and responsibilities need to be agreed before an order is accepted.

FAQ
Common questions
- Can I order HoneyBear honey for delivery to Singapore now?
- This article is an enquiry guide, not confirmation of a delivery service. Contact HoneyBear with your destination, product and quantity so supply and import feasibility can be checked before an order.
- Is a 5g honey stick suitable for every drink or bowl?
- It is a pack size, not a universal recipe. Test your dish and decide whether one pack, a different portion or another format suits your service.
- Can I request halal or other certification?
- You can state the certification you require in your enquiry. Do not assume a certification is available; it must be confirmed for the specific product before purchasing or making a claim.
